EASTLEIGH have signed Saints academy graduate Ben Reeves on a free transfer following his departure from Gillingham in the summer.

The 32 year old made 13 appearances for Southampton having come through the club's youth set up before being released at the end of the 2012–13 season.

Reeves has since gone on to play for MK Dons, Charlton, Plymouth and Gillingham, racking up over 250 Football League appearances.

Reeves, a two time Northern Ireland international, has been without a club since the start of the season following his release by League Two Gillingham.

Upon joining the Spitfires, Reeves said: “I just thought it’s a good opportunity for me to get back to playing again, it suits everyone.

"I’m looking forward to playing here and playing in front of the fans.”

Eastleigh have also confirmed the loan signing of AFC Bournemouth defender Ben Greenwood.

The 20 year old arrives at the Silverlake Stadium having previously enjoyed loan spells at Poole Town, Wimborne and Weymouth.

The Irish youth international was named on the bench for Bournemouth's for their Premier League game against Nottingham Forest last month.

The National League outfit completed their trio of signings with the addition of David Longe-King on loan from Dagenham and Redbridge.

The 29 year old central defender is a former England C international and has played for 11 different sides so far in his career.
