AFC Totton continued their path to the league title with a late 2-1 victory at Lymington Town.

After a dour first half without much real action, Totton started the second half like a rocket, and made the breakthrough when Mitchell Speechley-Price set up Scott Rendell for the opener.

The Stags threatened a second, but Lymington battled resolutely, keeping the game close, and got their reward late on. A Jamie Beasley free-kick ricocheted around the penalty area, and Ryan Fuller found the back of the net via a deflection.

There was more late drama to come though, as Ethan Taylor was bundled over to win the visitors a penalty deep in additional time, and Rendell slammed the spot-kick home for the dramatic victory.

Totton now sit seven points clear at the top of the Southern South division having won four of their last five league matches.

They are also unbeaten in their last 13 as an impressive season peaks at the exact right time. Next up for the Stags is a trip to Melksham Town before they host Exmouth.

Finally, the campaign concludes with another home fixgure - this time against Frome Town - before Daniel Sackman's side visit Evesham United on the last day of the season.
