BRETT Williams struck twice as AFC Totton sealed a convincing 3-0 home victory over Bristol Manor Farm in Southern League Division One South, writes Jack Clarkson.

The striker has now netted six times in four games for the Stags – but was later taken to hospital to be assessed on a shoulder injury.

It was a bright start for the hosts and in the 15th minute, Ethan Taylor put the Stags ahead after he collected as loose ball inside the 18-yard box and fired into the bottom right corner.

Although the visitors were fighting well, they conceded a further goal 10 minutes before the break when Ryan Oakley played a superb cross into the box from the left flank and Williams pounced on it to place it home.

Two minutes before the break, Manor Farm had a chance to level but a shot was held by Lewis Noice after a neat move.

But the Stags wrapped up the contest on the stroke of half-time.

Silvano Obeng’s shot deflected up in the air for Williams to chest it down and volley into the top left corner.

Williams had to be replaced in the 66th minute after injuring his shoulder – but later assessment revealed there had been no break.
