NATHAN Redmond is set to miss Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham due to an ankle injury.

The winger was substituted during the second half of Wednesday night's Carabao Cup defeat against Brentford and he is not likely to recover in time.

There was some good news though, with Ralph Hasenhuttl confirming Stuart Armstrong has returned to training following a quad injury.

"At the moment we have Reddy from the game against Brentford with an ankle injury," said Hasenhuttl.

"It is a light ligament injury and not available I don't think for the weekend.

"Stuey, it was his first time with us out on the pitch today.

"If it is enough for him to start the game at the weekend, I don't know. Maybe he will be part of the squad. We cannot say now."
