“As a lot of you are aware, Gary has been unwell for a while now. Due to being ill, he has had to make the difficult decision, after 35 years as a butcher, to finally hang up his apron.

“Danny will continue the family legacy and carry on giving the service and the laughs Gary gave you over the years.

“As I hope you can all imagine, this a difficult time for our family, and we will always be grateful for your continued custom.

“We shall look forward to still providing the 100 per cent high-quality and customer service that Gary has always provided.”

Gary added: “Thank you all for the wonderful years you have given me, and please support our Dan in his venture.
