WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

GATCOMBE: Snowdrop Lane will shut during arboricultural works, along its entire length, over three shifts sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

BRADING: The Mall will be closed during arboricultural and vegetation works, between its junctions with New Road and Brading bridleway 39, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

Also, Morton Old Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Roman Villa access road and Morton Manor Road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

WOOTTON: Church Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with High Street and Wootton Lodge, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

NEWCHURCH: Princelett Shute will shut during carriageway edge rural verge repairs, between its junctions with Newport Road and Newchurch footpath 28, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 10.

Also, Winford Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Harbors Lake Lane and Wacklands Lane, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 10.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

TOTLAND: Court Road will shut during drainage CCTV survey works, between its junctions with Clayton Road and Freshwater Court access road, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 10. An alternative route will be signposted.

WROXALL: Whiteley Bank will close during lining works, between its junctions with Lessland Lane and St Johns Road, over two shifts sometime between Tuesday and Friday, May 10.

Also, Mountfield Road will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, May 10.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

CARISBROOKE: Millers Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Clatterford Shute and a point 100m north-east thereof, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, May 10. An alternative route will be signposted.

NITON: Sandrock Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Old Blackgang Road and Undercliff Drive, from 7am on Wednesday and 5pm on Tuesday, May 21. During the works, the one-way restriction will be revoked along Sandrock Road, between its junctions with Old Blackgang Road and St Catherines Road. An alternative route will be signposted.
