The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

WAYNE GRIFFITHS, 43, of International Way, Southampton pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop after £62.85 worth of whiskey, port, Dairy Milk chocolate, king prawns and cheese were stolen from Co-Op. He received a one-year community order with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and ten days of rehabilitation activity. Griffiths must pay compensation to the value of the stolen goods, as well as a £50 fine.

JAMIE DIXON, 28, of Staplehurst Close, Southampton admitted four counts of fraud by false representation relating to bank cards he used that didn't belong to him. He also pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods and burglary after he stole a bicycle worth £140 from Neptune House, Southampton. Dixon received a sentence of 20 weeks suspended for 12 months and must pay £219 in compensation.

RICHARD BURLEY, 39, of Grange Road, Netley pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker on Tremona Road, Southampton. He also admitted a charge of racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress and two public order offences. He was jailed for 18 weeks.

MOMODUE DARBOE, 23, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker in Southampton and failing to comply with a section 35 direction excluding a person from an area, namely Vernon Walk. He was jailed for 12 weeks and must pay £150 compensation. 

PAUL ROOKES, 44, of Meggeson Avenue, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving whist disqualified on Townhill Way in Southampton. He was driving a Honda at the time. Rookes was fined £120 and received six points on his licence. He must pay £40 court costs plus a £48 surcharge. 

BEN SIDDLE, 25, of Havelock Road, Bognor Regis admitted to causing criminal damage to two CCTV cameras belonging to A1 Carpets in Southampton. He was ordered to pay £150 compensation and a £300 fine.
