Adrian Keen, current CEO of award-winning company InstaVolt, is set to step down, making way for future growth under new CEO, Delvin Lane.

InstaVolt, which presides over the UK’s largest rapid EV charging network, including six sites in Southampton, is making preparations for what looks to be an ambitious expansion plan.

This follows the company's pledge to place 11,000 ultra rapid chargers within the UK and Ireland. Additionally, plans are afoot for the set up of 5,000 chargers across Spain and Portugal, accompanied by more than 300 in Iceland.

InstaVolt chairman Adrian Pike said. "I would like to thank Adrian for his commitment and hard work over many years, which has delivered a pipeline of more than 16,000 chargers to fulfil the company’s goal to be the largest CPO in Europe. He leaves his post with InstaVolt in great shape having just installed a record number of rapid chargers in the first quarter of 2024.”

“Going forward Adrian will remain with us as a senior advisor, which will not only ensure continuity, but he will also be bringing his considerable experience to the development of our international operation."

Keen, after an impressive seven-year run leading InstaVolt, will be succeeded by Delvin Lane. Lane carries a robust 26-year track record in the energy industry, including his transformative leadership at eEnergy Group plc as the Managing Director of Energy Management.

Mr Lane said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the market leader at this exciting time in the company’s growth."

Adrian Pike said: "Delvin brings with him invaluable experience of the energy sector. Combined with his track record of delivering high growth for companies, this will prove invaluable as InstaVolt embarks on its next chapter of expansion in home and international markets."

Anna Sundell, who sits on the InstaVolt board as Director representing majority shareholder EQT, said: “I am delighted to welcome Delvin to InstaVolt as the new CEO. He is an excellent addition to the senior management team, and I look forward to working alongside him on InstaVolt’s journey of growth and commercial excellence."
