Ventnor Day will spread further through the town for 2024.

The popular event will take place on Saturday, July 6, primarily in Ventnor Park as usual, but there will music in the town and on the Esplanade, and there will be transport provided between the different areas.

The change comes after a series of consultation meetings with town centre businesses, Ventnor Town Council and its partners.

Ventnor Day is organised by a partnership of Ventnor Town Council, Ventnor Carnival Association and Ventnor Putting Green.

Isle of Wight County Press:

It’s a celebration of the town’s community spirit and the voluntary and community sector.

It will feature live music, performance, stalls, and food, from midday to 6pm, and the entire event is free to enjoy.

Ventnor Mayor Steve Cooper said: "We have listened carefully to our local businesses and want to see the town centre and Esplanade benefit from Ventnor Day.

"With over 100 stalls, Ventnor Day has outgrown its original town centre site – but there are lots of things that can be done to bring visitors into the town centre – not just on Ventnor Day – but throughout the summer season.

"We are looking at a number of ideas – including establishing craft markets, live music and entertainment in the town centre and on the Esplanade and better transport links to and from Ventnor Park."
