Whether you’re looking for a four-legged friend to take out on long walks or to curl up on the sofa with, you might just find your match in one of these four.

Blue Cross Hampshire are currently seeking forever homes for two dogs and two cats, so if you are currently thinking about getting a pet, why not consider adopting one from the charity’s rescue centre?

The Blue Cross opened its Southampton rehoming centre in 1988 and has facilities for looking after cats and dogs, puppies and kittens.

Located in Bubb Lane, West End, the centre also cares for small furries such as hamsters and rabbits while they wait for a forever home too.

Here are the pets looking for a home this week.

Nala

Breed: Siberian Husky
Age: 8 years 11 months

Nala enjoys being around people. At the Centre she spends most of her days in the office ‘helping’ someone (which mainly involves lying down and having a snooze).

She likes a quick fuss but is quite an undemanding dog and likes her own space.

True to her breed, she is an active type and enjoys her walks but doesn’t have great recall so will need to be exercised on a lead.

After meeting other dogs it has been discovered she can bark in their face so is happiest being walked in areas where there are no off-lead dogs.

She would love a home with an enclosed garden so she could run about off the lead. She would need to be the only pet in her new home and would be best suited to an adult home or one with older children.

Digby

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Age: 10 years

Digby is a very handsome chap who really loves to be around people and will make a great companion in his new home.

He has spent time in foster and have proved himself to be a delight and very easy to have around.

He is looking for a new owner who is around most of the time as he can find being left alone a little stressful.

Still an active boy despite his age, he enjoys going out for walks but can find going to busy places with lots of dogs overwhelming so needs to be walked in quiet places.

Turbo

Breed: Domestic Short Hair, tabby
Age: 7 years

Turbo is looking for a special home to call my own.

He can be sensitive, easily worried by noises and unfamiliar people and prefers the company of women.

With time and patience for him to get to know you, he has shown he can develop good relationships.

He has grown in confidence with a few of the staff at the centre and enjoys head tickles giving off the loudest purr.

Turbo also enjoys playing with toys and this is a good way to build a bond with him.

He is looking for a quiet home with patient owners who have plenty of space.

Preferably he would be the only pet in his new home and would be better suited to living with adults and older children.

He is used to going outdoors and misses this so would love a home where he can explore the great outdoors again.

Ronald

Breed: Domestic Semi Long Hair, black and white
Age: 2 years

Ronald is looking for a new home where he can find his feet and grow in confidence.

He is a sweet natured boy who is looking for a lovely quiet home where he can find all the nice warm spots to sleep and have the company of a new owner.

Ronald can be quite a shy sensitive boy but loves nothing more than a nice old head scratch.

He will need his own room in his new home and might need it for some time until he is completely settled.

Preferably his new home will be adults only and he would need to be the only pet too.
