A PROPOSAL to enlarge a house in the New Forest National Park has been withdrawn by the applicant.

The Lymington-based National Park Authority is no longer studying an application relating to a property at Brookside, Landford.

Consent had been sought to build a single-storey extension a well as installing a new window and widening an existing one.

The application included a design and access statement by Landford Architectural Services.

The statement said few changes appeared to have been made to the house since it was built in the early 1950s.

It added: "My client now finds it necessary to increase the size of their home to accommodate additional space which will enable them to support a modern lifestyle."
