The thought of a rooftop bar is probably less appealing on a soggy day like today.
But a rooftop terrace bar in Southampton has hit the headlines for the second time this month.
Southampton Harbour Hotel's HarBar on 6th was one of The Times' top 30 cocktail bars and terraces in the UK to visit this summer.
The accolade comes a couple of weeks after The i Paper rounded up all the best rooftop venues in the UK to visit this summer, naming HarBar on 6th as the place to be.
The Times said about the prime Ocean Village location: "You’ll be all at sea on the gorgeous wraparound decked terrace of this sixth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant that has impressive views of Southampton harbour and the Solent beyond, and features fire pits, heaters and a wood-fired pizza oven.
"The list of classic cocktails with a twist includes the Camillo Negroni, made with gin, vermouth, cacao Campari and orange chocolate. Reservations available but walk-ins are accepted."
