PLANS to attach cladding to part of a property in the New Forest National Park are likely to be approved - despite an objection to the scheme.
Members of the National Park Authority (NPA) are being recommended to support an application relating to dormers and a garage at a bungalow in Knightwood Close, Ashurst.
Ashurst and Colbury Parish Council is urging the authority to refuse the application.
A report to NPA members says: "UPVC cladding is not generally considered to be an appropriate material or one which reflects buildings typical of the New Forest National Park.
"However, the existing dwelling and those in the locality are not recognised as being of significant aesthetic or vernacular interest."
