A PROPOSAL relating to a Grade-II listed building has been given the go-ahead.
New Forest District Council has approved plans to dismantle a garden wall at a house in Rumbridge Street, Totton, and create a parking area.
The property was once part of the 18th century Rumbridge Manor House, which was subsequently divided into separate homes.
Totton and Eling Town Council had supported the application.
In a letter to the district council it said: "Neighbouring properties have undertaken similar to allow for parking at the front of their properties.
"It is pleasing to see that not all of the front garden will be removed and the existing tree will be retained."
