AN outbuilding in the garden of a house was converted into a one-bedroom holiday let without planning permission.
But New Forest District Council has approved a planning application relating to a single-storey building at Wainsford Road in Everton, near Lymington.
A report to councillors said no external alterations to the building were proposed.
It added: "Off-street parking for three vehicles, to serve the holiday let as well as the dwelling, would be provided.
"Four representations have been received, all supporting the development as it will benefit the New Forest and bring extra revenue to the area.
"Local business owners state that they are asked about holiday rentals in the village and feel there is a need for more."
