A CLASS has been asked to self isolate after a positive Covid-19 case at a Hampshire school.

Yesterday, a positive test was confirmed by Pennington Infant School in the New Forest.

As a result, one class bubble at the school has been asked to self isolate.

These pupils are being supported with remote learning throughout their time away from the classroom.

The school has been working with Public Health England in relation to the confirmed case.

Headteacher Bev Seed, said: “I can confirm we were made aware on Monday that one individual member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19.

"Public Health England has confirmed that the school is not required to take any further action, and our school is open and operating as usual.”

Pupils at the school are aged 5-7 and the last Ofsted report recorded that 115 students currently attend.
