A HAMPSHIRE school has been given planning permission to upgrade its performing arts studio by installing a new roof.
Walhampton School, near Lymington, occupies a former country house that was built in the 18th century and is Grade II-listed.
A former gymnasium that dates from the 1960 is now a performing arts studio.
A report to members of the New Forest National Park Authority said the roof had internal gutters which were leaking. Its replacement would drain into an external gutter.
"The changes will be hardly discernible within the site and will not impact on the listed mansion," said the report.
"There is no objection to the development, which will result in minor changes to the external
appearance of the building, but will remedy the existing problems."
