SOUTHAMPTON singer Stephanee Leal was eliminated from ITV singing contest The Voice on Saturday night.
The Venezuela-born singer, who was on team Anne Marie, performed a version of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights during the first instalment of the semi-finals.
However, Stephanee was unable to secure a place in the next round.
Stephanee’s husband Ryan O'Carroll died after being hit by a falling tree in Cornwall in August 2018 just before the couple’s second wedding anniversary.
As previously reported, Ryan, a director and co-founder of award-winning Southampton firm Yo Telecom, had been camping near the Boardmasters surf festival in Newquay.
The 25-year-old suffered severe head injuries was rushed to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, following the incident in Tehidy Woods.
Stephanee Leal told her story during an episode of the show last month, leaving viewers in tears.
The singer said: "We were about to have our two-year anniversary, and then he passed away a couple of days before.
"He had an accident in Cornwall.
"The paramedics came, and he was in the hospital fighting for about a day or so, but he was in a really bad state and he passed away."
She added: "Music was definitely a big, big healer for me."
