A SEX offender caught with extreme pornography has avoided jail.
Casey Shaw claimed he did not get any sexual gratification from videos involving animals found on his phone.
The 28-year-old claimed they were "funny and a joke” and didn't realise they were illegal.
Appearing at Southampton Crown Court he was charged with three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images.
He was also charged with breaching a sexual harm prevention order by deleting his phone internet history.
He pleaded guilty to the offences which happened between May and June 2019, and June 4 last year in Southampton.
Shaw of Landsdowne Road, Aylesbury was given an 18-month community order to include 100 hours of unpaid work and 30 rehabilitation activity days.
