POLICE have seized a quantity of drugs after raiding a property in a Hampshire village.

Officers swooped on a property at Bluebell Gardens, Hythe, just after 5.30am today and executed a pre-planned warrant.

A police spokesperson said: "A quantity of Class B drugs were located at the property and subsequently seized, alongside a number of other items associated with drug-related activity including drug paraphernalia.

"A 57-year-old man from Hythe is currently assisting officers with their ongoing enquiries.

"The support we receive from local residents is vital in helping us make our communities safer and every piece of information submitted to us is greatly appreciated.

"Every call you make to us is logged and helps us build up an intelligence picture about what might be happening in your community.

"This allows us to take action and prevent your neighbourhood from harm.
