PLANS to permanently retain a pallet storage building at Eling Wharf, Totton, have been withdrawn by the applicant.
New Forest District Council (NFDC) is no longer studying an application submitted by Associated Pallets Ltd.
The application said the building was mostly hidden by stacks of pallets and as well as being screened by trees and shrubs.
Totton and Eling Town Council supported the application.
In a letter to NFDC it said: "The building in question has been in situ since 2006 and was granted temporary planning permission for three years. Since that time further temporary applications have been made and granted, the last expiring in August 2019.
"The town council can see no reason why this application should not be approved."
