SCORES of planning notices and applications for new licences have been submitted for sites across Hampshire in the past week.

From road closures and marina maintenance work to proposals to build flats in a Southampton conservation area, these are a few things you may have missed.

So, here is a round-up of recent public notices published by Southampton City Council and other local authorities in the area.

Traffic regulation orders:

n Southampton City Council intends to close Millbrook Road West (service road) from King Georges Avenue to Regents Park Road from February 15 to allow highway improvements. Works due to be completed by June 8.

n Southampton City Council intends to close Aldemoor Road from its junction with Coxford Road to its junction with Waltham Crescent from February 19 to allow repair of cracked carriageway. Works due to be completed by February 21.

n Southampton City Council intends to close High Street (8pm-6am) from its junction with Rayner Gardens to its junction with Langham Road from February 18 to allow repair of manhole cover. Work due to be completed by February 20.

n Southampton City Council intends to close Kingsley Close from its junction with Waterhouse Lane to its junction with Imperial Avenue from February 17 to allow repair of carriageway subsidence. Work due to be completed by February 18.

Licensing applications:

n Churchill Retirement Living, of Churchill House, Parkside, Ringwood, is applying to change an existing licence and keep an extra three goods vehicles and four trailers at the operating centre at Calmore Croft Farm, Salisbury Road, Totton.

n Nicholas James Cottis, trading as Onsite Concrete Services, of 88 Skippetts Gardens, Basingstoke, is applying for a licence to use Hanson Aggregates & Marine, Britannia Wharf, Marine Parade, Southampton as an operating centre for two goods vehicles.

n Biomarsh Environmental Ltd, of BioMarsh House Fountain Drive, Mead Lane, Hertford, is applying to change an existing licence and add an operating centre to keep one goods vehicle at Fishers Pond, Colden Common.

n Krayevsky Transport Ltd, of Flat 1, 35 Hamilton Road, Bournemouth, is applying to use Unit 12D(3) Eling Wharf, High Street, Totton, as an operating centre for one goods vehicle and one trailer.

Planning applications:

n Three-storey building containing eight flats with associated parking and cycle/refuse storage area (development in a conservation area) - The Stables, 60A, The Avenue, Southampton.

n Maintenance work to mooring piles within locked marina basin - Hythe Marina, Shamrock Way.

n Sales office, product showroom and internal and external goods store in one central location on the main NMS site - Solent Industrial Estate, Caird Avenue, New Milton.

n Second floor extension, first floor bay window and balcony; single-storey rear extension; material changes to walls and roof; window changes - Mulberry House, Redhouse Mews, High Street, Lymington.
