PLANS to enlarge a property in a Hampshire village have been withdrawn by the applicant after running into opposition.
New Forest District Council is no longer studying an application relating to one of homes at Pooks Green, Marchwood.
The applicant had sought consent for a first floor extension to the existing property, plus a two-storey extension to create a new home.
Three Marchwood residents have objected to the scheme.
One letter says: "It is unsuited to the rural ambience of the village and will have a negative impact on neighbouring properties."
Marchwood Parish Council has also lodged an objection.
It says the proposed enlargement and separation of the existing property would result in a cramped form of development.
