PLANNING chiefs have rejected proposals to build an extension housing an office and an art studio.
The New Forest National Park Authority (NPA) has refused to support an application relating to a property at Meerut Road, Brockenhurst.
The applicant sought consent to build a first floor extension to a garage beside the property.
A report to councillors said Woodruffe was a large detached house in the Brockenhurst Conservation Area.
It added: "The applicant seeks consent for a first floor addition to an existing outbuilding.
"The proposed extension would result in an outbuilding which, by virtue of its size, scale, height, massing and design, would not be appropriate."
