THREE proposals to build new homes at Milford on Sea have been rejected by a government-appointed planning inspector.
A couple lodged appeals after each one of their application to redevelop a site at Victoria Road were turned down by New Forest District Council.
But planning inspector Martin Allen said the houses would harm the character and appearance of the area.
The first application was for a self-build property designed by Visionary Architects, who said the house would be “unashamedly contemporary".
After it was turned down by the council the applicants submitted proposals for a similar-sized home but with a flat roof.
That application was also refused, sparking proposals to construct two self-build properties.
