PLANS to build a two-bedroom home beside an existing property have been rejected for the second time.
An appeal was lodged after an application relating to a site at Kingfisher Way in Ringwood was turned down by New Forest District Council.
But a government-appointed planning inspector has upheld the council's decision.
The inspector said the new home would fail to share the "consistent features, proportions and key dimensions" which gave the estate its distinctive form.
"Despite using similar materials to neighbouring properties, it would contrast markedly with them, and would appear incongruous in the street scene.
"The dwelling would appear cramped and contrived and distinctly out of keeping with the prevailing pattern of development in the area."
