A MAN has been arrested following a spate of burglaries across the New Forest.
The burglaries took place in Solent Avenue in Lymington, Malwood Road in Hythe and Buchan Court in Dibden Purlieu between November 10 2020 and January 13 2021.
A range of items were stolen from garages and vehicles including a number of power tools, a vehicle and a laptop.
Police say a 27-year-old man from Dibden Purlieu has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, one count of burglary with intent to steal and one count of burglary with intent to steal.
He has been released under investigation, pending further police enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: "As ever, we would ask the public to remain vigilant, and to report any crimes which are in progress or where there is a threat to life by calling 999.
"Alternatively, if you've been a victim of crime, you can report it to us by calling 101 or by making a report online via our dedicated reporting tool."
