A DELIVERY driver has been attacked and racially abused by a pair of teens.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an assault in Marchwood on Saturday, December 12, at around 7.30pm. 

The victim, a 32-year-old man from Southampton, was delivering takeaway food to an address on The Crescent, off Long Lane in Marchwood, when he stopped the check the address on a sat-nav device. 

He approached two men, who he believed were waiting outside the property for the items, who then assaulted him and subjected him to racial abuse. 

He sustained minor injuries during the assault. 

The two suspects were described as white men, aged between 17 to 18-years-old, slim builds and approximately 5ft 8” tall. 

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: "We have conduced a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help.

"Did you see what happened? Were you in the area at the time of the assault? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage? 

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 44200476995."
