A FURTHER 264 positive coronavirus cases have been recorded in Hampshire.

Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website as of 4pm today (November 23)- show that 264 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.

This brings the county's total to 24,140 cases since the start of the pandemic.

The figures come as testing increases across the country.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
