PLANNING chiefs have rejected a proposal to build two four-bedroom houses beside an existing property.
An application relating to Fulwood in Park Lane, Milford on Sea, has been turned down by New Forest District Council (NFDC).
Members of Milford Parish Council had urged the authority to refuse the application, describing it as over-development.
They added that the height of the new houses would have a negative impact on neighbouring homes.
Three locals also submitted objections to the proposal, claiming the scheme was "bulkier" than a previous plan that was approved last year.
The applicant could submit a revised scheme or lodge an appeal against the council's decision.
