PLANNING chiefs have rejected proposals to build a "detached garage" in front of a chalet bungalow.
New Forest District Council (NFDC) has refused to support an application relating to a property at Hampton Lane in Blackfield.
The applicants sought consent for what they described as a car port.
But a report to NFDC members said: "The proposal is for a detached timber double garage situated close to the front boundary of the site.
"The garage would be out of keeping with the street scene, and intrusive and detrimental to the character of the area."
