PLANNING chiefs have rejected proposals to redevelop a site in the New Forest National Park.
The National Park Authority (NPA) has refused to support an application to build a replacement barn at Mosscroft in Boundway Hill, Sway, and extend the existing stables.
Hordle Parish Council had urged the NPA to approve the proposals.
But a report to members said the agricultural need for a new barn had not been proven.
It added: "The scale of the proposed building is not considered to be commensurate to the size of the holding. The building would consist of a large and obtrusive structure which would have a detrimental impact on the landscape of the national park."
