PLANS to improve a house in an upmarket Hampshire town have been withdrawn by the applicant.
New Forest District Council (NFDC) is no longer studying an application to extend a property in Middle Road, Lymington, and carry out internal alterations.
Lymington and Pennington Town Council had urged NFDC to reject the proposal, describing it as overdevelopment.
The council also received a letter from objection from the owner of a neighbouring property.
He said: "At present the outlook from the kitchen window is light and airy. With the proposed development coming right to the boundary between the two properties I feel this this will create a
brick cave giving a rather claustrophobic feel to my property.
"The view from the kitchen window will be purely of brickwork."
