A MISSING jet-skier was found safe and well after the alarm was raised by his brother.
Coastguards ordered a major search after a "very distressed" man said he and his brother had both taken to the water in Southampton on their jet-skies.
His brother had disappeared and he was becoming increasingly worried.
Cowes lifeboat carried out a search in fading light between Lepe and Calshot. The operation also involved Calshot RNLI lifeboat, together with land-based coastguard teams from both sides of the Solent, plus the police.
Eventually the jet-ski was found moored alongside a fishing boat with the missing man aboard, safe and well.
He and his jet-ski were taken by Cowes lifeboat back to the brothers’ point of departure in the River Itchen.
