POLICE say a knife was seized during the arrest of a man detained on suspicion of robbery and burglary.
A 33-year-old man was arrested by Totton-based officers visiting an address in the area yesterday.
a Totton Cops spokesperson said: "A male has been arrested for robbery and burglary, both of which occurred in the Southampton area. He is currently in custody whilst enquiries continue.
"We also recovered the below knife during the arrest."
It comes following the start of Operation Sceptre, a nationwide operation being conducted by Hampshire Constabulary and other forces across the country to tackle the issue of knife crime.
Officers will target habitual knife carriers as well as educating children, young people and parents about the risks of carrying a knife.
