Next phase of Newport's St Mary's roundabout work starts - impacts Dodnor access
The next phase of Isle of Wight Council's controversial work at St Mary’s junction starts today (Monday August 10).
The roundabout is being replaced by a signal-controlled junction.
Until early next month (September), traffic not be able to turn ONTO the Dodnor estate from the junction. Instead, traffic will be diverted via Riverway.
However, cars can LEAVE Dodnor onto the St Mary’s junction.
From 21 August, access is expected to increase for cars turning onto Forest Road and an extra lane will open for vehicles travelling from Cowes into Newport.
