MORE than £10k worth of dirt bikes, quadbikes, tools and a small boat have been stolen from a Southampton lock-up.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a burglary at a business lock-up in Howard Road, Southampton.

The offender(s) forced entry into the lock-up between 7pm on Sunday, 19 July and 7.20am Monday, 20 July, causing damage to a van that was parked in front of the entrance and a padlock.

A number of off road bikes, quad bikes, a small boat and tools were stolen.

The Daily Echo understands that the items stolen equate to more than £10,000.

A modified blue and black Yamaha Banshee quad bike - worth an estimated £8,000 - as well as an orange and black motocross bike, a blue pit bike and a number of tools were stolen from the lock-up.

Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help.

Police are asking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious that night to come forward to help with their investigation.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a report of a burglary at a business lock-up in Howard Road, Southampton.

“Did you witness anything? Perhaps you saw someone acting suspicious in the area around this time?

“Have you been offered for sale any bikes or tools recently?

“Do you recognise or have you been offered for sale any of the items pictured?
