SEEING that Southampton City council are so keen to get more people riding bikes in their new cycle lanes, maybe we should dispense with the mayoral limousine, and the council buy a tandem for his worship and consort, just to show willing and encouragement to the rest of us, that all this expense is money well spent!
Having sat in a traffic queue on the M3/M27 offslip and then proceed very slowly down Bassett Avenue, just seeing one cyclist, at 2.30 in the afternoon, doesn`t endear me to support this project.
The residents of Bassett Avenue must be fuming, with their air quality further diminished.
