ANOTHER two animals have been killed in accidents in the New Forest.

A bay mare was badly injured on the B3078 at Roundhill, near Brook, and had to be humanely destroyed by one of the agisters.

On the same evening a cow also had to be put down following a collision on the C10 at Setley, near Brockenhurst.

Two other animals were injured in an accident that occurred in broad daylight.

A bay mare and a brown filly were both injured on the road from Hill Top, near Beaulieu, to Exbury.

The New Forest Verderers say all three collisions occurred in the week starting July 20.

It follows a long spell in which very few animal accidents occurred in the Forest.
