A HAMPSHIRE archery club is seeking consent to equip its proposed new clubhouse with solar panels.
Sway Bowmen, based at North Common Lane in Sway, has submitted a planning application to the New Forest National Park Authority (NPA).
The application includes a letter written by New Forest planning consultant Jerry Davies.
The letter says: "The existing clubhouse has no direct power supply.
"In evaluating the alternatives for supplying power to the new clubhouse, which has been granted planning permission, the applicant investigated the provision of a direct connection to mains power.
"The quotation provided by the electricity supplier was prohibitive. The option settled upon is considered to be the least harmful."
