A WOMAN has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire tore through a commercial garage this morning.

Firefighters rushed to the wooden building in Brook Hill Road, Bramshaw after receiving an emergency call at 2am.

An electrical pole is reported to have crashed into the 10m by 30m structure.

Despite the efforts of crews from six fire stations "90 per cent" of the garage was destroyed".

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation on the scene by paramedics, according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services.

Police also attended and the cause of the blaze is being investigated.

The stop message came in at 5.28am.

A Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Crews from Lyndhurst, Eastleigh, Redbridge, Totton, Romsey and St Mary's dealing with a garage on fire in Bramshaw. 90 per cent of the building was destroyed, an electric pole fell into the building but made safe. One main jet, One cafs jet, two hosereel jets and six breathing apparatus used."
