THIS is a picture from Bournemouth Road street party in Chandler's Ford
The first girl on the left hand side at the back is my mum, Patricia Haskell so she would have been 12 years old at the time.
Now Mrs Patricia Cox, she resides at Valley Lodge Care Home in Chandler’s Ford.
The little girl next to her is her sister, Margaret Haskell, who would have been 7 years old – now Mrs Margaret Neal living in North Baddesley.
My Grandfather was Len Haskell of LC Haskell Sand & Ballast, 30 Bournemouth Road, Chandler’s Ford and was well known in the community.
I'm sure he would have helped organise the event with my grandmother Mary Haskell.
