A DRINK-fuelled man who damaged a woman's bedding, carpet and wallpaper has been jailed.
Thomas Battle, 31, damaged the household items during an incident on Boxing Day, in which he also harassed his victim and was in drink at the time.
He also damaged a police van, belonging to Hampshire Constabulary, and resisted a police officer on the following day.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Battle, of Nelson Close, New Milton, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal and one count of harassment.
Battle also admitted one count of resisting a police officer.
He was sentenced to a total of 26 weeks in prison and ordered to pay compensation of £3,503.
