ANOTHER three animals have been killed in accidents in the New Forest - one of which was a hit-and-run.
A donkey was badly injured in a collision at Blackhills Road, Furzley, and had to be put down by one of the agisters.
The New Forest Verderers say the driver failed to report the incident.
On the same day a pony had to be destroyed after being hit by a vehicle on the B3078 near Godshill Pottery.
The third fatality involved a donkey which was killed in an accident at Penn Road, Dazel Wood.
Elsewhere in the Forest one - possibly two - ponies were involved in a collision at Crows Nest, also on the B3078. A search was made of the area but the animals could not be found.
A cow was hit by a vehicle on the B3056 Beaulieu Road but was not injured.
