A MAN suffered a broken nose and bruises to his face and ribs as four men raided his home at night before stealing cash and a Rolex watch.

The group of men, who all had their faces covered, entered the property in Belmore Road, Lymington, between 9pm and 9.30pm on Saturday night.

Once inside they attacked the occupants, a man and a woman, before stealing the cash and watch.

The group entered the house via the rear patio doors.

The male victim, aged in his 60s, suffered a broken nose and bruising to his face and ribs during the assault. The woman did not suffer any physical injuries.

It was reported to police that the four men may have left the scene in a vehicle.

Police attended the address and conducted a search of the area with a dog unit. This led to the discovery of one of the victim's mobile phone's discarded in Undershore Road.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We would like to speak to anyone who saw a group of four men behaving suspiciously before the incident, particularly in the Belmore Road and Stanford Hill areas between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday night.
