A LONG diversion will be in place as a New Forest road shuts on Monday.
A stretch of Lyndhurst Road will be closed between the A31 and Seamans Corner at Minstead from 8pm on July 8 until the evening of Friday, July 12.
During the closure, engineers will be working on a cattle grid.
Motorists won't be able to get to the A31 westbound at the Seamans Lane junction for the duration of the work.
Signed diversions will be in place.
• To join the A31 westbound from Minstead, travel south along Lyndhurst Road to the junction with Football Green, turn left and travel north continuing to the junction with the A337. Turn left and continue along the A337 to the Southampton Road roundabout. Take the first exit onto A31 Southampton Road, then at the roundabout take the first exit to join the A31 dual carriageway.
• To exit the A31 westbound to Minstead, continue to travel westbound along the A31 to Stoney Cross, turn left onto Stoney Cross Plain Road and travel south to Lyndhurst. At the traffic lights turn left onto the A337 Romsey Road and continue north, then turn left onto Lyndhurst Road and continue to Minstead.
