POLICE have issued an alert after a burglar smashed their way into a Hampshire home.
Officers say the burglar targeted a home in Danebury Way, Nursling, by smashing the glass of a rear patio door.
They were then spotted in the lounge of the property, before running away.
Police say the incident took place between 4pm and 4.07pm on April 16.
They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Officers are also reminding residents to close and lock windows and doors when they leave their homes and use timer switches to make your property look occupied.
Ensure valuables are kept out of view from windows and report any suspicious behaviour to the police.
