A HAUL of ammunition has been pulled from a Southampton river by police.
Pictures from the scene near Redbridge Causeway show teams searching the area underneath the bridge.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that police were called to the bridge at 9.50am today.
A spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to an area of marshland near Redbridge Causeway at 9.50am on Wednesday after a member of the public found what is believed to be ammunition.
"Officers attended the scene and seized the items.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
