A newsagent and convenience store has been cordoned off by police today.
McColl's in Totton was closed off just after 8.30am by officers.
The shop entrance, on Longstock Crescent, has been cordoned off with police tape and remains closed.
It has been reported that an ambulance was seen outside the store, before 8am.
Residents said that a number of police cars arrived at the scene of the incident around 8.45am.
One resident told the Daily Echo that she believes there may have been a robbery.
