A NEW One Stop store has opened its doors in Hampshire.

Formally ML Convenience, the family-run shop in the Holbury Shopping Precinct has been transformed into a One Stop franchise store.

Meet Singh and his wife Lakhvir Kaur own the shop, along with their two sons Manraj and Mantaj Singh.

The rebranded store opened its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, operated by the family and their two employees.

Manraj, 35, told the Daily Echo: “We had the convenience store before, but now we’ve just joined up with One Stop.

“We thought it was the right thing to do moving forwards, and it’s what people want these days.

“The industry has changed, and people want cheaper items.

“Working with One Stop means we can achieve this.”

After the opening, Meet said: “It was great to see the community get together to celebrate the launch of their new One Stop convenience store.

“I enjoyed meeting lots of people from the neighbourhood, and I hope this store will be at the heart of the community for years to come.

The Holbury store will be open from 5.30am to 9.30pm every day.

The store offers many facilities, including the National Lottery, a PayPoint which allows customers to pay bills and a cash machine.

The store does also have hot food services, a slush puppy machine, a coffee machine and an off licence, as well as general groceries and convenience items.

The family have also employed newspaper deliverers.
